The EU ETS Phase 4 discussion is nearing the end, yet there are still significant differences in position between the various negotiating parties in the trilogue, and between members of the broader community of stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This meeting focuses on two aspects of the Phase 4 discussion:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>how do we address the large over-supply of allowances currently in the market and<\/li>\n<li>how will carbon leakage protection evolve up to 2030.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It is hoped that this meeting will help catalyze a solution that will provide a good balance between these two elements.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.i4ce.org\/wp-core\/wp-admin\/post.php?post=17306&amp;action=edit\">Find the agenda<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This meeting is convened by a group of institutions as supporting organizations, which include ERCST\/ICTSD, I4CE, WWF, IETA, and Nomisma Energia.
