An ambitious cleantech\u00a0agenda is\u00a0now essential \u2013 not only\u00a0for decarbonisation,\u00a0but to sustain\u00a0Europe\u2019s\u00a0competitiveness,\u00a0industrial strength, strategic\u00a0autonomy\u00a0and\u00a0economic resilience.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559739&quot;:0}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Achieving this requires focus. With limited fiscal\u00a0capacity\u00a0and a fragmented policy landscape,\u00a0the EU needs to\u00a0prioritise and\u00a0channel its resources where they deliver the greatest leverage.\u00a0Climate innovation \u201cMade in Europe\u201d matters not only for Europe, but for global decarbonisation: with its market size and regulatory reach, Europe is uniquely positioned to drive climate innovation, set standards, drive costs down, and diffuse clean technologies worldwide. As a leader in climate innovation, scale-up and deployment, the EU can accelerate global transitions while renewing its own industrial leadership.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559739&quot;:0}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Objectives and partners<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">In this project, <b><strong>I<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">4<\/span>CE<\/strong> <\/b><\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">works to help the EU sharpen and strengthen its clean industrial policy. The project produces research to position Europe as a leader in climate innovation and to encourage policies that reinforce strategic cleantech manufacturing. It aims to equip policymakers with evidence needed to make informed industrial policy choices and challenge entrenched approaches.
