Julia joined the team in 2014 and now oversees the work of the Agriculture and Forestry program.<\/p>\n

Over the past 10 years, she has especially worked on the forest-based sector and on carbon certification opportunities. After taking over the coordination of the Forestry and Wood Climate Club, she worked as a project manager and then unit manager on the role of the forest-based sector in mitigating climate change : the role of carbon sinks in the National Low Carbon Strategy and at the European level, long-life wood products, the costs of adapting forests to climate change, etc. She also worked on forest carbon accounting and carbon certification mechanisms (monitoring, reporting, verification), both at the French level, by coordinating the forestry part of the VOCAL project which led to the development of the French carbon certification standard, and at the European level, by following the development of the CRCF (Carbon Removals and Carbon Farming) certification framework.<\/p>\n

Julia has also been I4<\/span>CE<\/strong>‘s representative at the French Economic, Social and Environmental Council (ESEC) since 2021, in the Environment and Nature group<\/strong><\/a>, and sits on the Economy and Finance Commission. She was rapporteur for the Annual Report on the State of France 2022 and the\u00a0ESEC\u2019s opinion on the financing of the Energy-Climate Strategy<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Since 2021, she has also been a member of the scientific committee of the French National Forest Office.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Before joining I4<\/span>CE<\/strong>, Julia worked at the General Direction for Energy and Climate of the Ministry of Ecological and Solidarity Transition on forest carbon accounting under the Kyoto Protocol.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n She graduated from management school (Audencia<\/i> \u2013 including a semester in environmental economics at the Norwegian School of Economics<\/i>), and also holds a master\u2019s degree in geography (territorial policies and sustainable development), where she especially focused on the agriculture sector.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":47906,"template":"","groupe":[56,62],"class_list":["post-6006","team","type-team","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","groupe-team","groupe-direction-en"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\n
