Unfortunately, however, the forest carbon sink is deteriorating, mainly due to climate change. Significant progress is needed to increase the proportion of harvested wood used in biomaterial production. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>While significant public funding is currently dedicated to forest and wood industries, it is important to ensure that it has a positive effect on both climate change mitigation and adaptation and that it is consistent with national and European strategic autonomy. For this reason, in addition to its work <a href=\"https:\/\/www.i4ce.org\/en\/theme_travail\/voluntary-carbon-certification-and-the-low-carbon-standard\/\">on the carbon certification<\/a> of forestry projects, <strong><strong>I<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">4<\/span>CE<\/strong> <\/strong>evaluates public policies and funding and provides food for thought for public decision makers and stakeholders, especially in the economic sectors. The Institute brings these stakeholders together in its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.i4ce.org\/en\/projet\/carbon-forest-and-wood-club\/\">Carbon Forest and Wood Club<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":57335,"template":"","class_list":["post-23997","theme_travail","type-theme_travail","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.7 -
