The climate is changing and it is impossible not to take this into account in structural decisions such as those relating to land use planning, the fabric of the city and the development of economic sectors like tourism and agriculture.
I4CE analyzes the way that economic and financial actors as well as policy-makers anticipate and adapt to these changes, and the incentives and resources that can catalyze adaptation to climate change.
Our recent work have helped to understand “what” is needed to take adaptation more systematically taken into account in policies and structuring projects (of planning, infrastructure, economic development) in France, what PFIs and public actors can do. Our current work aims to provide more quantitative insights; adressing the question: how much human and financial resources do we need from now to tackle this challenge?
