Co-hosts: International Development Finance Club (IDFC), Finance in Common, Climate Policy Initiative (CPI), E3G, Institute for Climate Economics (I4CE)

Format: Online.

Context:

Public Development Banks (PDBs) have made important progress in integrating climate priorities into their strategies over the last ten years, but growing economic and political pressures are creating new challenges for climate action.

This workshop gathered representatives from across the global PDB ecosystem along with key partners to reflect on lessons learned from the past decade, identify priority actions to accelerate progress, and strengthen coordination on support tools and resources that can help PDBs meet rising ambition. The session included guided discussions and brief presentations of support offerings from PDBs and external organizations, with a focus on building shared understanding and actionable next steps.

    The heat is on

It is hot in Europe. Very hot. And the summer has only just begun. The recent heat wave in large parts of Europe reminds us that the forthcoming European framework for climate resilience and risk assessment comes with high stakes: it is about the safety of populations and the competitiveness of the European economy.
