Agriculture and Forest Climate Clubs CoordinatorViolette de la Croix is in charge of the Agriculture-Food and Forestry-Wood Climate Clubs at I4CE. These clubs are networks for exchanging and sharing expertise on climate issues in the agricultural and forestry sectors.
Violette has expertise in agricultural and environmental policy. She worked for two years at the French National Assembly, advising MPs on agricultural issues and supporting them in the work carried out by the Sustainable Development Commission. She worked in particular on fair remuneration for farmers, the issues of generational renewal and setting up in agriculture, and the restoration of watercourses.
Violette began her career at WWF France, where she led advocacy work on agriculture.
She holds a master’s degree in Public Affairs from Sciences Po Paris, specialising in energy, environment and sustainable development.

Reinforcing Europe’s carbon sink through actionable levers
Since 2005, the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) has been a cornerstone of Europe’s climate policy. With the price per tonne of CO2 now beginning to stabilise at between €60 and €80, and the gradual reduction in free allowances, 2026’s review of the system should be an opportunity to reflect on and upgrade its performance as the EU continues towards climate neutrality.
