Maria SIEFERT

Maria joined I4CE in 2025 and works on the ecological transition of France’s agriculture and food sectors as part of the Agriculture and Food programme. Her research focuses on national public funding for these sectors. 

Before joining I4CE, Maria gained initial experience at the French Ministry for the Ecological Transition, where she contributed to prepare for the implementation of the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) in France. 

Maria holds two master’s degrees: one in Environmental Sciences from Sorbonne Université, and one in Environmental Policy from Sciences Po Paris. This interdisciplinary focus on environmental issues followed a dual undergraduate background in private law and chemistry.
