Brazil has been a leader in emissions reduction over the last several years through reducing deforestation. Commitment to emission reduction is apparent at both the national and sub-national level taking into account both the environmental, and the social benefits of climate change mitigation.
Published in May 2015 by I4CE together with the International Emissions Trading Association (IETA) and the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF).

    Double claiming of agricultural carbon credits : time to stop worrying

    In France, after the French “Low Carbon Label” (le Label bas carbone, LBC) certification scheme, there remains a systemic lack of funding for agricultural projects. Among the reasons mentioned by the agri-food industries is the fear of “double claiming”.
