ClimINVEST – EXECUTIVE SUMMARY – Getting started on Physical climate risk analysis in finance

In December, the European Commission launched a public consultation to inform the next revision of the regulation, scheduled for the last quarter of 2026. The Commission is particularly seeking stakeholders’ views on the need to transform NECPs into real investment plans.

This study reviews recent public funding directed towards the downstream of the forest-wood sector and assesses how it contributes to climate mitigation and adaptation. Its objective is to inform better targeting of public support in a context of tightening budget constraints.
